How to Find Avon Customers
Now that you’ve registered and looked around the Avon website there are two things you can do next to ensure you are ready for your first campaign. You will learn more about finding Avon customers in less than 48 hours just by implementing some of the tips listed below.
The first item of business is your Avon eStore. Did you take time to set it up after registration or skip over it? If you skipped it, please go back and get the eStore going and if you did activate your eStore, did you import contacts from all the email accounts you have?
This is important because it will help you start getting online orders. If you didn’t write down your website name then you can look it up when you login at www.youravon.com. Your personal website name is located under the Web Office Tab (see the image below).
Find Avon Customers Using the ‘List’
You will begin by creating two lists. The first one is a list of potential customers or people you would like to give an Avon brochure. DO NOT JUDGE who will buy or who might not like Avon. This activity is geared towards finding customers and that means everyone you know. After a few campaigns, you will determine who is interested in receiving your brochures.
The second list will be all of your friends, family, relatives or anyone you know who lives further than you can deliver to personally. At this time you should consider listing all of your out-of-state connections. This will be your contact list for selling Avon online.
Growing your Avon Customer List
Do you want to build a successful business? Then never, ever stop adding names to your list. You will never survive in direct selling if you stop finding new prospects so you can convert them into customers.
Tip #1: Who Do You Know List
Set a goal to grow your potential contact list to 50 names for each of your first 4 campaigns. That’s 200 prospects. Look in your cell phone, Facebook and other social media accounts you have and I’m sure you will have more than enough names. When creating your list also ask yourself the following questions and highlight those names.
Who do I know that ….
- needs extra cash
- works full-time
- is living paycheck to paycheck
- needs a new car
- looking for work
- wants to be a stay-at-home mom
- is a beauty lover
- is a social media addict
All of these people are potential “recruit” prospects. These people can become a part of your team. And let’s face it – that is how your income will be generated. You can sell like mad and work 50 hours a week but if you build a team now you have multiplied your efforts instantly. Share the workload and make more money. Doesn’t that sound great?
More Customers = Solid Business = More Earnings for You!
Here’s an example:
1st Campaign Goal: 50 Prospects from your “warm” market
2nd Campaign Goal: 50 Prospects from Facebook
3rd Campaign Goal: 50 Prospects from Work Associates
4th Campaign Goal: 50 Prospects from Relatives, Family or Friends in Distant Locations
Potential Prospects: 200 in 2 months! What if you convert a third of them – that’s 66 customers
Tip #2: Power of 3
Simple and effective: Talk about Avon every day with 3 new people, and ask them for the names of 3 more people who would be interested in Avon. Take at least 5 brochures out with you everyday and don’t let yourself come home until you have AT LEAST 3 names and #s. FOLLOW UP.
Running an online Avon business? The same goals apply. Reach out on all forms of social media to help you get started. Be subtle and choose your words carefully. You don’t want to look like a spammer to your closest friends so limit your business postings. However, you can create a fan page for your business. Everyone that follows you there will expect more activity from you.

Tip #3: Branding Yourself In Your Neighborhood
Tip #4: Avon Parties
Everyone loves a good party! How about a party that is a BLAST and makes you money? There are so many different ways to throw a good party. Here are a few ideas:
- Grand Opening
- House Party
- Open House
- Book Parties
- Theme/Holiday Parties

- Mark. Party
- Facebook Party

Tip #5: Fundraising
Avon is uniquely suited to meet the needs of a fund-raising organization. With an Avon Fund-Raiser, all of the selling is done by the members of the organization. You take the orders and submit them through your normal ordering process at www.youravon.com. You decide what percentage of the profits the organization will receive and you and the organization will determine what type of fund-raiser will be held.
